A number of people claim that the only thing today’s youngsters care about is to get a good job and earn a lot of money. However others believe that young people are not obsessed with their career path so much. On the contrary, they say that the youth has many other interests as well. And I am in favor of this opinion.
From my way of thinking, even so modern young people care about their career, they also pay attention to such problems as building a family and bringing up children. They like spending time with their family members and often go to trips with them. The other reason why I agree with this statement is that the young care about their health so much nowadays. Many people finally realised how important it is to be in a good shape and eat healthy food. So they started to take interest in various sports such as jogging, walking, dancing, doing fitness and many others.
On the other hand there are people who say that the nowaday youth spends so much time to make their career that they have no time to enjoy their life fully.
I am afraid I cannot share this point of view. To my mind, today’s youngsters have such a wide choice of activities that they can do anything they want. For example, lots of young people are interested in music, art and films. So they prefer spending their free time in cinemas, theaters and museums. That is way nowadays there are so many of them.
To conclude, I strongly believe that young people are not carried away with their jobs at all. On the contrary, they are many-sided. And I am so glad to be one of them.

In your letter you asked me to recommend your friend some interesting places worth seeing in Moscow. Well, I think your friend should visit such places as Arbat, Manege Square, Poklonnaya Hill and BolshoI Theater. But my favorite place is Sparrow hills. This is a place to enjoy the views of both the City and the Lomonosov University from the other side. There are loads of souvenir sellers as well. As for Moscow museums, the best ones are Tretyakov Gallery and State Historical Museum which is, by the way, one of the largest museums in the world. I’m sure your friend will be impressed by the beauty and greatness of Moscow!
By the way, what job did your sister get? Does she like it? How many hours a day does she work?

There are people who claim that students should be taught not only classical literature but also modern one. However others say that there is no use to learn about modern authors and their literature.

From my point of view, it would be great, if students were taught modern literature at school. First of all, nowaday authors also deserve attention. Personally, I have read several books written by contemporary authors and they impressed me so much. Secondly, today’s authors write about current problems that all people should pay attention on. Therefore, reading their books helps us to understand modern world and makes us take all nowaday problems into consideration.
At the same time, there are people who think that modern literature affects children’s minds. They believe that modern authors write those books that teach teenagers only bad.

I am afraid, I cannot agree with this statement.

In your letter you asked me different questions regarding to being a teacher. Well, I agree with you that it’s not enough to love children if you want to become a good teacher. You also should be responsible, active, caring and enthusiastic. It also depends on a subject that educator teaches. For example, I think that English teacher should be very communicative, as communicating with students in English is a very effective way to learn it. I’d definitely like to try teaching. To my mind, it’s very interesting and enjoyable.

“Some people think that life-long friendship exists only in books and films” Everlasting friendship is considered to be impossible by a number of people. However others believe in it. From my point of view, it is hardly possible to be friends with someone during the whole life. First of all, many people tend to change their place of living. They move from one city to another, from one country to another one. You may say that nowadays it is possible to communicate to people living far away thanks to modern technology. But I do not believe in a long distance friendship. Because talking to a person on the internet for example you are not able to express your emotions fully. Secondly, people usually change in process of time. Their interests, their preferences, their views- everything changes. Therefore, those people who used to be friends in adolescence stop communicating when they become adults as they cannot see eye to eye any more. On the other hand, some people claim that it is quite possible to be friends for ages, as they consider their friends as close relatives and cannot imagine their life without them. I am afraid, I cannot share this view. There is a saying “Another man’s mind is a closed book” and I completely agree with it. To my mind, you can get disappointed in a person even if you know him very well.

To sum up, I strongly believe that there is no life-long friendship in this world. Unfortunately, I cannot even imagine that it will ever get possible.
